Mikawa Cotton refers to the cotton woven at the east of Aichi prefecture which is well known for its production of cotton in Japan. Mikawa cotton originated in the Heian period (794 year) as gifts for the noblemen of Kyoto. From Meiji, the name of Mikawa cotton has been well-known all over the country and even nowadays it is still popular among Japanese.
With commitment to “natural raw materials that please body” and “all production made in Japan” , 100% pure cotton six-layers woven gauze are born originally at Gamagori of Aichi in Japan. The good quality cottons undergo process such as refine, dye, weave, water absorption, fluffy, sewing, all tailored by the craftsmen with great efforts. Additionally, all products are inspected one by one.
